Torino - Turin

The members of the cultural association Speculum Historiae are connected by love for history, desire of experience in first person how our ancestor’s lives were like, and the hope to pass over this passion to other people.

The association aims to re-enact in detail every aspect of the daily middle-age life, from the household to the militia side, from religion to craft making. Every reconstruction is based on historical documents, iconography and archaeological findings in order to create a detailed and correct reconstruction.

The association takes up different projects: living history, cultural activities, historical combat and archery, dressmaking and handcraft, investigation on local history. Our distinctive traits are the close attention to details and the constant improvement that we aim.

Does your association also applies to the Middle Ages in other country in Europe?
SpeculumHistoriae Featured By Owner Jun 9, 2015   Artisan Crafter
What do you mean? If we take part to events outside of Italy or if we take historical resources from all Europe?
BOYDEX Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2015
Are you take historical resources from all Europe and are you make events outside of Italy?
SpeculumHistoriae Featured By Owner Jun 15, 2015   Artisan Crafter
First question no, we tend and we try to stick to our area of interest (piedmont area ) and second no, as for now we only go to events in north Italy! :)
