Hello everyone!
It's been quite a while since I last updated this journal. As you may see from the deviations update, we are still alive and very active! We spend a lot of time at the Medieval Village of Turin, Italy, where we are home-based, by doing guided tours through the castle once every month. As the number of watchers is turning out to rapidly increase, here is a short presentation of our researches and activities! I'm sorry this is ITA only; basically, we explain a few things about the 3 periods we reconstruct, which are:
  • First half of XI century (1000-1050);
  • Third quarter of XIII century (1250-1275);
  • First two decades of XV century (1400-1420).
For all periods we tend to stick to the geographic area we live (Piedmont, Italy), for a couple of reasons: to enhance the history and the culture of our living area, and to be as precise as possible with our reconstruction.
For other questions, just ask! :ahoy:

Hey there!
I've been less than present writing the journal but I always try to keep up with some uptates with new pictures!
As you may have seen by our recent uploads, this September we organized a big event we decided to call "End of Summer Fair", in collaboration with Medieval Village at Turin. We invited lots of reenactment groups from all Italy for a total of around 80 reenactors, to recreate what may have been a city fair in the first decades of XV century, in the Piedmont area. The fair was a success in terms of public and we certainly hope to renew this appointment for the next year!
For more but less good pictures please check our facebook page here: www.facebook.com/SpeculumHisto…
We are almost at the end of our reenactment year and just a couple of events awaits us: on next Sunday we will be again at the Medieval Village in Turin, while in December there will be the two last event of the "Arduino the DVD" series, one of which will be held at the Archaeology Museum of Turin and the other one at the San Giorgio Canavese's Castle: it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castello…
Let's keep up with the good work!

Hello everybody! We will soon be presenting "Arduino: the documentary" our feature project at Turin's International Book Salon held from 14 to 18th of May (website here: www.salonelibro.it/it), meanwhile I would like to ask you a quick question.

Would anybody be interested in following our facebook page? Should we be turning it bilingual, since now it's only written in Italian? :ahoy:

Meanwhile we invite everybody to take a look at it! :D www.facebook.com/SpeculumHisto…
